So, rejection breeds determination. After being told that my little Polaroid camera is not a high enough quality camera to produce quality photography, I am more determined than ever to prove that my photography is worth something. I want to prove that it is the composition that makes good photography, not the camera used to take it with. Don't get me wrong, a high quality camera always helps, but it is not key; composition is. I have seen many photos taken with a "High quality" camera that lack composition almost entirely. Are these images good photography? Not in my opinion. On the other hand, I have seen many photos that have excellent composition, but were taken with what are considered "Low quality cameras. Are these images good photography? Yes, they can be.
I am proud of my photography and I will not let the opinions of some cloud my judgement or my determination. I would like to make my photography part of my career along with Environmental Science and I am going to start right here, on Deviant Art! I am creating a new folder in my Gallery dedicated to my photography and am offering prints for sale. I will also be making a Facebook page for my photography and will post a link in a new Journal when it is up and running. If you enjoy my work and would like to show your support, I encourage you to join.
Please remember that good photography is possible without expensive cameras and if you enjoy what you do, don't let anyone shake your confidence!
Thank you all!
